10/29/2021: Stoughton Utilities just eliminated the last known lead service line in Stoughton, WI following a year-long effort that resulted in the replacement of 699 lead service lines, including both public and private sections of laterals, for residential and non-residential properties. The completion of this project makes Stoughton’s public drinking water system 100% free of lead service lines.
Wisconsin DNR Secretary Preston Cole was onsite to celebrate the final service line removal last week. A press release is attached, and below is a link to a story ran by the local newspaper, the Stoughton Courier Hub.
