Schedule: 24/7 operation with a 10 week rotation among 10 operators with the majority being dayshift
Nature of Work: This is a technically skilled, professional, state certified position responsible for successful continuous, real-time operations of a 15.5 MGD advanced secondary wastewater treatment facility. The Wastewater Facility Operator is responsible for operational control and maintaining plant processes within the facility Wisconsin Pollution Discharge Elimination System (WPDES) permit.
What You'll Be Doing:
Monitor and adjust the wastewater flow and treatment processes.
Keep records, logs, and charts.
Operate, control, and make necessary repairs to a wide range of equipment.
Maintain process controls, collect samples, and perform physical and chemical analyses.
Requirements: Post-secondary education or training in wastewater treatment technology with a college degree preferred. Possession or the ability to obtain WDNR Wastewater Operator certification (certification subgrades A1, B, C, D, L, P and SS) within 48 months of employment and maintain the certificate when employed.
