Details about the Position:
The E/I Technician plays a critical role in supporting NEW Water’s culture of Safety, Respect, Team, and Environment by ensuring the reliable operation of electrical and instrumentation systems across the Green Bay and De Pere wastewater treatment facilities and collection system. This position performs complex predictive, preventive, and emergency maintenance on a wide range of critical equipment, including variable frequency drives, PLCs, transformers, switchgear, electrical distribution systems up to 24,900 volts, and generators. Responsibilities include inspecting, troubleshooting, programming, calibrating, repairing, and installing equipment that directly impacts plant operations and regulatory compliance. The technician conducts failure analysis, diagnoses issues within motor control centers, control networks, remote telemetry systems, and process monitoring equipment, and makes informed recommendations to improve system reliability, safety, and performance. Participation in a rotating standby schedule ensures timely response to after-hours emergencies and minimizes operational disruptions. In addition to hands-on technical work, the E/I Technician is responsible for thorough documentation and collaboration to support operational excellence. This includes recording labor, materials, and detailed repair summaries in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), as well as updating electrical schematics, drawings, and system documentation. A strong commitment to safety is essential, including adherence to all safety policies, active hazard identification and mitigation, participation in safety training, and support of lockout/tagout procedures. Through technical skill, proactive problem-solving, and dedication to environmental compliance, the E/I Technician ensures the continued safe and efficient operation of NEW Water’s facilities. Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree (or equivalent) in Electro Mechanical Technology, Electrical or Electronics Engineering Technology or related field or the completion of a State - - Apprenticeship Program (Industrial Electrician, Instrumentation, Electrical/Instrumentation or related field)
- Successful completion of a general E/I aptitude test. An equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience will also be considered.

Compensation:
- Hiring Range: $34.41 - $40.47 per hour
- Full Salary Range: $34.41 – $48.57 per hour
