The Village of East Troy is seeking a Utility Operator/Laborer for a variety of wastewater and water department tasks (and Public Works, as needed). This is a full-time position (40 hours per week). Candidates must be able to work alone, with possible irregular (including weekends) or “on call” hours, possess a valid CDL WI Driver’s License, high school diploma or GED, general trade experience a plus, a working knowledge of computers, Internet, business software, ability to operate basic office equipment, and basic math skills. Position also requires WI Wastewater Operator Certification, and a WI Municipal Waterworks Operator Certification.

An individual with relevant experience, working toward the required certifications will be classified as a
Utility Laborer until certification is obtained. Position has specific physical requirements and
environmental exposures.
Laborer salary range: $24.87 to $28.42; Operator range $29.46 to $33.67. Full benefits which include
health, dental, and long-term disability insurance; paid time off; and participation in WRS pension
program.
