The City of Clintonville is accepting applications for the position of Wastewater Utility Operator.
This position entails monitoring the wastewater treatment plant and collection system to ensure proper operations, performing laboratory analysis, data entry, equipment maintenance, and other duties as assigned. Applicants must be able to work outdoors for extended periods of time in varying weather conditions. Applicants must also be able to work in confined spaces and have the ability to navigate manholes and lift station wet wells while using appropriate protective and rescue equipment. This position requires mandatory on-call status 24 hours a day, seven days a week on a rotational basis. 30-minute response time required for on-call operators. Applicants must pass a drug screen and medical evaluation prior to hire.
Applicants must have a High School Diploma or equivalent but an associate’s degree in wastewater treatment or a related field is desirable. Prior experience as a wastewater utility operator is not required but is preferred. A valid Wisconsin Driver’s License is required upon hire and applicants must be able to obtain a Wisconsin CDL within 60 days of hire.
