Full time plus rotational on-call evenings and weekends with on-call and overtime pay premiums. Pay rate is negotiable based on experience.
Essential duties: Makes regular tours of 20 lift stations to check equipment to maintain compliance with state programs. Respond to alarms and emergencies at either lift stations, or any of the 196 district owned grinder pumps. Clean, services and adjusts pumps, valves and other apparatus to meet changing operating conditions. A working knowledge of electrical controls, pumps (flow/pressure/power relationships), hydraulics is essential and the ability to troubleshoot, repair and teach staff is critical. Required to communicate professionally with staff, customers, regulators and commissioners. Other requirements include Valid Wisconsin driver’s license and clear driving record (pre & post hire); possess or acquire a CDL; complete a pre-employment physical including drug/alcohol test before hire, and agree to same post-hire; maintain future licenses and certifications (e.g. confined space) as deemed necessary by District, State or Federal guidelines. Preferred candidate will live within 15 miles of Waterford, WI.
Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical is strongly preferred.
