The City of Neillsville (Pop. 2399) is seeking qualified applicants to fill the full-time position of Director of Public Works. This position is responsible for all aspects of the operation of the City’s Public Works, Water and Sewer Utilities Department, including supervision of Public Works/Utilities Employees.Annual salary depending on qualifications starting at $50,000 plus benefits which include but not limited to Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, paid Vacation, Sick Leave, Holidays and Wisconsin Retirement System.

Employee will direct the Public Works/Utilities Department and will work with Recreation, Airport and Cemetery Administrators. Employee will be subject to one (1) year probation period. Employment conditional on successful physical examination.Position requires a two (2)year degree in construction technology or five (5)years of experience in Public Works management, planning, engineering, development, street construction, water, sanitary sewer and storm sewer, plus experience in a supervisory capacity. A CDL license is required or will need to be obtained within 6 months of hire.Employee may serve as Zoning Administrator, Building Inspector and Weed Commissioner, along with other public positions in City government.
